Severe Weather Awareness Week: March 12 - 15, 2012

Severe Weather Awareness Week
Douglas County Emergency Management has partnered with the Topeka National Weather Service, the Kansas Emergency Management Association, and the Kansas Division of Emergency Management to request your participation in "Kansas Severe Weather Awareness Week" activities March 12 - 16, 2012. The annual statewide tornado drill will take place at 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, March 13th. CERT Class
CERT classes are now available! The basic course will include several components necessary to get the team started and become capable of performing basic CERT functions. The free, 24-hour course concludes with an exercise where CERT members put into practice the skills they have learned in a simulated disaster scenario.
