Current job openings are advertised for seven days with a closing date for submitting applications. After the closing date applications are reviewed and the positions filled.
The position you are applying for should be stated on your application. Should you wish to have your application submitted for another position, you may contact the Personnel Office at (785) 832-5327 prior to the position deadline. Applications will remain active for a six-month period.
An applicant "pool" is advertised for a specific job classification for a stated time period (usually six-months). When a vacancy occurs for that position the applications on file in the "pool" are reviewed to fill the vacancy.
If your application is submitted for an applicant "pool", the application will only remain active until the end of the pool period.
Vacancy notices and applications are available Monday - Friday from 8:00 to 5:00 at the Personnel Office.
